Excursion to the Val Febbraro Waterfall

The trekking route to reach the Val Febbraro Waterfall, a beautiful mountain excursion near Madesimo, starts from the Isola hamlet (at an altitude of 1268 m). Here, you take the C29 trail, crossing the meadows above the small village to reach Ca’ Raseri with its typical alpine valleys’ carden construction found throughout the Valchiavenna. From here, you continue on an easy dirt road along the Febbraro stream, reaching the waterfall, partly hidden in a lush fir forest. For families with strollers or those seeking less elevation gain without sacrificing the hike, a daily pass can be purchased to travel the paved consortium road to Ca’ Raseri.
