Snowshoeing in the mountains is a healthy outdoor activity to do in winter, combining physical exercise with a naturalistic interest. With “ciaspole” – snowshoes – on your feet, which allow you to walk on unbeaten paths without sinking, it is possible to reach unusual destinations and high-altitude refuges on foot, cross enchanted woods, and climb snow-covered slopes, observe nature from unique perspectives, and the animals that inhabit it in winter.

In Madesimo, two easy and undemanding snowshoe routes have been prepared, easily accessible to everyone and appropriately marked with green poles, and there is the possibility to rent snowshoes in many shops in the village. More experienced snowshoers can also try fascinating alternative routes in the company of the alpine guides of Madesimo.
