Skiing in Madesimo is the quintessential winter activity. The Valchiavenna Ski Area offers 11 ski lifts and 34 ski slopes of all levels, stretching for 40 kilometres from the village houses up to the foot of Pizzo Groppera, at Alpe Motta.
The Madesimo ski area allows skiing in the Alps from late November to late spring, with internationally certified racetracks, ski schools for adults and children, and a wide range of mountain huts and dining points on the slopes. A true paradise for skiers and snowboarders.
The scenic Val di Lei and the famous Canalone off-piste will be accessible again from December 2025, when the new facilities are opened.

Night Skiing in Madesimo
Skiing at night in Madesimo is possible! For those who wish to continue their descents after sunset and ski under the stars, the Valchiavenna Ski Area offers dedicated evening skiing sessions throughout the winter season: the illuminated Pianello/Montalto slope, specially prepared, awaits skiers for evening descents in company down to the village, with the possibility of stopping at the Larici refreshment spot. Experience the incredible thrill of night skiing in the Alps.

MadePark, the Madesimo Snowpark
The snow park in Madesimo is MadePark, located at an altitude of 1800 meters, easily accessible from the centre of the village with the Larici cable car or the Montalto chairlift. MadePark has everything for fun and tricks on the snow: kickers of 2, 4, and 6 meters, flat boxes, plugs, down rails, tanks, mailboxes, rainbows, and modular boxes, a series of structures and paths suitable for beginners and more experienced riders, with a variable set-up during the winter season to ski in a snow park that is always new and different.
Access to the Madesimo snow park is free and the use of a helmet is mandatory.
